Hi, I am Teng Yu, a designer based in New York.

People always say, that career success often requires specializing, but I believe that a multidisciplinary approach is essential for building a comprehensive career and a fulfilling life. I know this path may be fraught with challenges and obstacles, but I also know it’ll be worth the joy I experience along the way. 

My career has taken me on all sorts of adventures and design ventures, from product and automotive design to exhibition and experiential design. Through it all, I’ve realized that regardless of the field, the soul of good design remains constant: creativity, humility, and the ability to adapt to novel challenges.

Self-imposed limits have never been my style. While I may have introduced myself in the past as an industrial or product designer, my travels, exhibitions, and curiosity have led me to embrace a more expansive design practice. When ideas flow freely, every concept becomes a universe of possibilities. I know my journey in design and art will persist. It’ll evolve beyond what I can currently fathom. For now, though, I’ll call myself a "creative designer”, and eagerly embrace all that the future has to offer.

I believe that creativity knows no bounds. From my childhood in Mudanjiang, China, to my business ventures in New York, Chengdu, Hefei, and beyond, my pursuit of innovation and expression has allowed me to transcend traditional design boundaries. As a creative designer, I am committed to shaping environments, experiences, and narratives to inspire, provoke, and ignite imagination. My odyssey continues, and I embrace the perpetual allure of an open-ended future.
